Today we visit Accra's most famed and important landmarks and tourist sites.

After lunch, you end the day at the Accra Arts Center Open Market Experience where can literally find everything from jewelry to furniture all hand made by some of local artisans. (Lunch is included)

After shopping you head back to the hotel.  This is your last night in Accra so you'll need to pack up and prepare for a road trip tomorrow to the Volta Region.

Dinner is on your own.  No worries, we'll provide some options.

Activity Level: Relaxed

Requires light physical activity combined with intermittent walking, with occasional slight inclines and stair climbs, including boarding the motorcoach. Guests should be able to climb a set of stairs, walk up or down slight slopes and navigate some uneven terrain or cobblestone. Appropriate for travelers who are somewhat physically fit and comfortable with longer days of touring (both walking tours and coach time).

Aburi Mountain Excursion

After Breakfast we'll head towards the Eastern region to Aburi Botanical Gardens known for its many species of trees, flowers and picturesque backgrounds. Great pictures on your first day.

While in Aburi, you'll visit the Aburi Craft market and witness the skills of some of Ghana's best wood carvers and artisans.

Lunch will be a full buffet at Peduase Valley Resort just minutes from the Botanical Gardens. (lunch Included)

We end the day with a guided ATV ride through Aburi's lush forest.

The evening is yours to relax at Chateau Nana Willine, take a dip in the pool, go out for dinner or order dinner in.

To fully take advantage of all this tour has to offer, guests need to be able to walk longer distances, climb several flights of stairs and navigate steps and uneven terrain walking for extended periods of time over more difficult terrain (e.g. cobblestones, city hills, stairs without handrails, limited or no access to elevators).

After breakfast you'll check out and head to the lush forestry of the Volta Region. Total travel time is about 2.5 hrs.

Our first stop is the Shai Hills Animal reserve where you'll learn more about Ghana's history and landscape, feed the baboons and if you're lucky the zebra and a few other wildlife friends will be closer to the gate.

After Shai Hills, we'll head to the Royal Senchi for your check in Lunch.  You'll be here at Royal Senchi for a few days.

After Lunch check in, relaxing and settling in top your new digs, take a cruise serene cruise on the Volta River.

Dinner is on your own at Royal Senchi.

On this day, we will head to Ghana's Eastern Region - home of several unique nature features.  You will have an opportunity to visit the twin waterfalls at Boti Falls, and climb to the stunning Umbrella Rock!

You will also visit Tafo and the Cocoa Research Institute of Ghana to learn the history of Ghana's cocoa industry, how cocoa is grown, and even sample chocolate in its various stages of production!

After a long and fun day, you will head to your hotel to rest and relax!

Appropriate for travelers who are physically fit, expect a vigorous pace and enjoy participating in two to three hours of physical activity per day. 

In Koforidua, Thursday is bead day!  We head to the capital of Ghana's Eastern Region - Koforidua where our first stop is the famed bead market.  Get ready to be wowed by all of the various types of beads and jewelry available for sale.

From Koforidua, we will travel to Nyame Bekyere - the community for which The Adinkra Group's CEO and Founder, Diallo Sumbry, serves as Nkosuohene or Chief of Development. 

In Nyame Bekyere, you will have an opportunity to visit the Nyame Bekyere Community Center and Library - one of several projects of The Adinkra Group, as well as meet with village elders.  

You will also enjoy a scrumptious traditional lunch before heading to your hotel for the evening.

To enjoy this tour, you should be prepared to walk slightly longer distances, climb stairs and tolerate periods of standing.  Appropriate for most travelers beginning with those who are moderately fit, lead semi-active lives, are comfortable participating in long days of activities and expect some physical exertion. 

On this trip, you will take an early morning drive to Kumasi - Ghana's cultural capital!

Here, we will visit the famed Okomfo Anokye sword site and have an opportunity to see how Kente cloth and Adinkra stamping are done in the villages of Bonwire and Ntonso, respectively.   

After your day in Kumasi, you will check into your hotel to relax and have dinner.

Today, we will spend the day touring Manhyia Palace - the traditional home of the Asantehene - King of the Ashantis.

From Manhyia Palace, we will head to do some shopping at the Kumasi Cultural Center before retiring for a free evening to rest and relax!

On this day, we wear white

We will head to the Central region to explore Ghana's history surrounding the Trans Atlantic Slave Trade to celebrate our resilience (2.5 hour drive).

We journey through the Door of No Return and back through the Door of Return. This experience is a heavy emotional journey for people of African descent but is crucial for our understanding of how far we've come and why we have so much reason to celebrate.

After the Cape Coast Dungeon, we will head to Mable's Table for a delicious lunch buffet. Individuals interested in testing for their African Ancestry will have their results revealed at Mable's Table after lunch. (Lunch is Included)

If you have any energy left, we have tables reserved at Accra's most exhilarating Monday night party called Open Skies at Exhale Lounge in East Legon.

This is your final day in Ghana.

After Breakfast and check out, we'll walk it off and celebrate a triumphant victory at Kakum National Park Canopy Walk after crossing all 7 suspended bridges.

After Lunch, we head back to Accra for your final departures.
