I had an absolutely amazing experience traveling to Ghana with the Adinkra Travel Group as part of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Coordinating a trip of this magnitude—500 people—on such a short timeline is no small feat, yet every detail was handled with care and excellence. The events were phenomenal, thoughtfully curated, and truly unforgettable. I was so happy that even the mistakes didn't matter. I would love the opportunity to experience Ghana again, perhaps with a smaller group next time—and who knows, maybe I qualify for a very generous return-customer discount 😊. The Adinkra staff provided outstanding customer service throughout the entire journey. Every single team member was a pleasure to work with, professional, and genuinely committed to making this experience exceptional. Big up to the Adinkra Mövenpick team as well—you were amazing! I hope to see you all again very soon. Thank you for all that you do! Warm regards, D. Patrice Johns

The time in Ghana was amazing! Although I did not do any of the excursions participating in the CHPP bag collection, chartering, the luncheon the EleGHANza and the Soaring Away party were true highlights of my time there. Being with so many members was life-changing. The tote bags were fun, but the quality of Naya Africa would have been more appreciated. Also the set up for luncheon and EleGHANza was dangerous with the rigging that was not secured or well-marked — tripping hazard supreme!! But thank you for your efforts. Looking forward to returning a third time to Accra one day!

TRIP.OF.A.LIFETIME! The Adinkra Group hosted a group of 500 “participants” over 7 days filled with meaningful, curated activities, live music and dancers on multiple occasions, and 1 fabulous gift bag, filled with locally themed items. I am 1 grateful “participant.” (LOL – inside joke) The Adinkra Group staff ensured a wonderful and safe experience in Accra and when traveling to the Central Region to The Last Bath, Assin Manso River, and Cape Coast. A special shout out to Bus #2 staff as well as to Maisha! With a group of this size, there were a few bumps along the way. For example, the VIP airport experience offered limited availability of beverages, no supplies (towels, soap) for the advertised showers, and longer processing times for hotel transport than non-VIP participants. Additionally, we were many hours behind schedule for The Last Bath, Assin Manso River, and Cape Coast causing lunch to be served for dinner, resulting in food poisoning of many guests. And finally, it would’ve been helpful to have received a re-entry visa vs. a transit visa given the price paid for the former and, separately, to have received hotel points for my stay. Would I book The Adinkra Group again? Yes. The Adrinka Group staff were attentive, kind, and patient. A group of this size is going to experience issues in any tour company’s execution. Additionally, they were responsive to my many emails in advance of the trip, publicly took responsibility for some challenges in real time, ensured our safety, and provided experiences of a lifetime. Also, the hotel accommodations were excellent. Since we were traveling as part of an organization, the actual costs and fees were not transparent. I would expect transparent pricing if traveling with family and friends as well as receive hotel points. As an experienced traveler to developing countries, things don’t always occur on schedule and hiccups commonly arise....and this is what makes international travel exciting, interesting, and a learning opportunity. For me, many experiences invoked feelings of gratitude and deep love that remain felt in my sole. These activities far outweighed the inconveniences, even food poisoning.
